Program Overview

HRD Korea (Human Resources Development Service of Korea) was established in 1982 under South Korea’s Ministry of Employment and Labor to enhance the value of labors and workplaces.

Their business includes overseas employment support as well as competency development & assessment, international development cooperation and others.

With about 25 years of experience in overseas programs, HRD Korea has placed more than 56,000 Korean talents in different opportunities in more than 75 countries. Now they have expanded their business scope to a career growth-focused program for Korean talent called WELL (Work Experience and Learning Ladder). WELL aims to improve global competence and explore potential careers for Korean university students and graduates in the global market, including the United States through Odyssey and the J-1 BridgeUSA Internship Program.

Odyssey International Exchange is a proud partner of HRD Korea. Our collaboration has the scope to help young Korean students gain exposure to American culture and hands-on experience in American business practices through the BridgeUSA J-1 Intern Program. When host companies host WELL Interns, they help young Korean professionals gain exposure to American culture and hands-on experience in American business practices, but also bring diversity to their organizations.
